Shadows in the Cotswolds

Watching over a cottage in Winchcombe and feeing the wild birds in the adjacent woodland, Thea is preoccupied by a small family mystery concerning her mother. When a brutal killing takes place close to the bird feeding station, it seems almost secondary to the gruelling experiences taking place both in Winchcombe and London - where the house owner is reliving childhood traumas. Once again, Drew Slocombe comes to Thea's assistance, albeit at arm's length, since he too has profound personal difficulties.
